Movers & Shakers is an independent Portuguese Water Dog specialty club serving primarily North and South Carolina but with membership extending into Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia. A primary focus of our club is to ‘do all in our power to protect and advance the interests of the breed’ and ‘to provide a support network for Portuguese Water Dog owners’.

We are an active group, with year-round activities ranging from our just for fun beach weekend to the Southeast’s premier water trial, Southern Splash. We always encourage non-members, new and prospective Portie parents, and even those with just a keen interest to come out to a Movers & Shakers event. Meet some great dogs and their people, share knowledge of the breed, and have a great time with a pretty nice bunch of people. Our interests are as varied as the talents of these incredible dogs.
